Space Maker
La Jolla Historical Society
La Jolla, California · February 21 – June 7, 2026
Space Maker considers the relationship between art, design, and architecture through the work of creative practitioners whose artistic practices exist alongside their roles as makers of space. The exhibition highlights how visual artists, architects, designers, and related disciplines share a common language of structure, form, material, and perception.
Maha Bazzari’s work is presented as part of this broader exhibition, reflecting her ongoing exploration of light, geometry, atmosphere, and the emotional qualities of space. Her contribution aligns with the exhibition’s interest in how spatial thinking moves between architecture and art, transforming built form into visual and perceptual experience.
The exhibition invites viewers to consider how artists shape not only images and objects, but also the ways we understand space itself.

Un/Grounded
Bivouac Ciderworks Adventure Lodge
San Diego, California · March 2026
Un/Grounded is a collaborative exhibition by Maha Bazzari and JenMarie Landig exploring the tension between structure and fluidity through layered surfaces, material experimentation, and spatial composition.
The exhibition reflects on grounding and movement as both physical and emotional conditions. Through painting and photography, the work considers texture as a bridge between stability and uncertainty. Architectural lines, layered pigments, iron shavings, reflective surfaces, and tactile interventions create compositions that feel both anchored and in motion.
Installed within the social setting of Bivouac Ciderworks, the exhibition invites viewers to encounter the work in an environment shaped by conversation, gathering, and shared experience.
